30-year-old woman commits suicide

She lived on the 3rd floor of the factory, where she and her husband used to work.

A 30-year-old woman committed suicide in her room in Basti Abdullahpur late on Thursday. The victim, Pooja, was reportedly under depression for two days as her husband had allegedly eloped with one of his colleagues.

The Atam Nagar police filed a case under Section 174 of the CrPC. She lived in a room on the third floor of the factory, where she and her husband used to work.

Ashok Kumar, a relative of the victim, stated that her husband Dalip Sahni eloped with a woman who used to work in the same factory two days ago. Following this incident, the victim had been under mental stress.

On Thursday, she sent her two children Sumit, 7, and Sahil, 1, to her relative’s room who lived on the second floor of the factory. Another son of the couple Arsh, 4, lives at Hajipur, Bihar, with his grandparents.
