Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday, reviewed the preparations for organising the ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and issued guidelines to the officials concerned. The initiative would connect every eligible person with public welfare schemes, said Adityanath.
The nationwide ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day on November 15.
On Monday, the Chief Minister directed officials to make a concrete action plan to ensure a successful event. The Yatra involves direct contact with the common people, raising awareness among them and providing them access to sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable health services, clean drinking water, etc.
Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ will cover 57,709 gram panchayats and 2,341 urban areas of the state by January 26.
The government directed that schemes such as PM Awas Yojana (Rural), National Rural Livelihood Mission, PM Kisan, Fasal Bima Yojana (Crop Insurance Scheme), Poshan Abhiyan, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Aushadhi Yojana and PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana should be included under the ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.
People should benefit from information about the Skill Cell Anemia Eradication Mission, enrollment opportunities in Eklavya Model Residential Schools, and scholarship schemes in tribal-dominated areas.
