A 28-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan at her Gomti Nagar residence in Lucknow late on Tuesday night.

A 28-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan at her Gomti Nagar residence in Lucknow late on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Sudha,wife of Anoop Kumar,an electrician. No suicide note has been recovered. The police said Sudha was depressed following regular heated arguments between the couple. The incident came to light when Sudhas relative,Ram Asrey,visited the house and found the door locked from inside. He called up Sudhas brother Rajesh,who rushed to the house. When they did not get any reply despite knocking repeatedly,they broke open the door and found Sudhas body hanging from the ceiling fan. Police were informed of the incident.
