The woman was taken to hospital around 6 pm on Monday and died a few hours later. She is survived by a daughter and a son, who is also a minor. The post-mortem would be done on Wednesday, police said.

The woman’s daughter told mediapersons on Tuesday, “The main accused came to our house on Monday although there were no tiffin boxes to be delivered. He sent me away. I feared that she was raped. She had eye injuries. Her legs had cuts and there were marks on her neck. I think she was raped.”
