In the match played for the third place,Chandigarh defeated Haryana by eight wickets. Vikas claimed the seven wickets giving away 17 runs in his seven over spell which featured two maiden overs as well. Women’s soccer

Indian women defeated Nepal by 1-0 in the final of the SAFF Championships held at Bangladesh. The all-important goal was scored by S Mallik in the 65th minute of the play. The camp for the championship was held at SAI sub-centre,Lucknow from October 1 to December 8.
