UP minister’s brother joins Congress

Jitendra Bahadur Singh,son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh and younger brother of BSP Minister Fateh Bahadur Singh joined the Congress in the presence of AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday at party office in Lucknow.

Sources said Jitendra wanted BSP ticket from Gorakhpur but was denied,following which he approached Digvijay Singh in Delhi and expressed his desire to join the party. Though,at present,he has not been promised a party ticket but Congress is considering his joining as a significant achievement and has thus planned a big joining program in Gorakhpur on February 13.
