UP: ABVP national conference begins

Yagywalkya Shukla, the outgoing national general secretary of the RSS's student wing, announced that the organization has surpassed previous membership records, reaching 55.12 lakh members in the 2023-24 session.

The 70th national conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was inaugurated on Friday at Deen Dayal Upadhyay University in Gorakhpur.

Yagywalkya Shukla, the outgoing national general secretary of the RSS’s student wing, announced that the organization has surpassed previous membership records, reaching 55.12 lakh members in the 2023-24 session.

This is the highest number of members in ABVP’s 76-year organisational journey.

The conference was inaugurated by Zoho Corporation CEO Sridhar Vembu who emphasised that the country must move towards self-reliance and that one should never fear failure, as it builds determination.
