Lucknow gets ready to enjoy IPL matches live on the big screen. Multiplexes had been given permission for screening the IPL matches,said Lucknow District Magistrate Anil Sagar. Besides multiplexes,the matches will also be screened at the Umrao theatre. About 300 tickets for the inaugural match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers have already been sold there.

Theatre manager Umrao Naresh Srivastav said: About three years ago,we had conducted a special show of an ODI for a selected gathering and the response was quite encouraging. As of now,we will be showing matches from March 12 to 18.

Marketing Manager of PVR Nityanand Singh said: We didnt start the advance sale of tickets as we were waiting for the DMs approval. We will be showing matches on March 12,13,15 and 17. The rest of the schedule will be declared later.

Rishi Gupta,Assistant Manager of Wave multiplex,said: We were just waiting for the official nod.
