Both Mugdha Godse and Neil Nitin Mukesh are only a handful of films old. Though their performances in the past have been appreciated,neither has managed to evoke any oohs and aahs for starring opposite their co-star,but maybe the freshness will work for them. In Jail too,the audience expects a moving performance from the promising actors but there is no palpable chemistry between the two. It could be because the movie bears dark shades, reasons trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Mukesh admits that it is true to an extent but adds that in the part before he is convicted in the film,the audiences will see him connect with his on-screen lady love. A few scenes between Mugdha and me do establish the emotions but its not in your face since the theme of the movie is not glamorous, he quips.

Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor
Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani
With promos on air,bets are already being placed on this pairing as the Next Big Team on screen. In fact,together,they are such a rage among the audiences that rumours blame their chemistry for the apparent trouble brewing between Kapoor and his real-life girlfriend Deepika Padukone. Director Rajkumar Santoshi explains that the couple is able to connect with the young audiences because of their innocence and energy. They fit the part they play of the young,goofy couple, he says. The fact that Kaif and Kapoor became great pals during the shoot only adds to the magic they yield on-screen. I didnt know what to expect from Ranbir when we first started shooting but his affability warmed me up to him. In fact,one day we were shooting for 22 hours at a stretch and there was still one scene we had to finish before wrapping up. I was so exhausted I broke down. No one but Ranbir noticed. He came up,cracked some jokes to cheer me up. He didnt have to but thats the guy he is and thats the equation we now share, gushes Kaif.

Soha Ali Khan-Emraan Hashmi

WE arent surprised that the audiences are skeptical of this rather odd pairing – the classy Soha Ali Khan opposite an actor who enjoys a mass audience. Besides,anyone who is to star opposite Emraan Hashmi has his reputation for the passionate on-screen kisses to consider beforehand. Khan therefore,was no exception. The actress admits that she was initially worried but eventually ended up lip-locking a couple of times. But the charm of this pairing,says Hashmi,lies in their unglamorous portrayal. We play commoners who are stuck in a situation where emotions can take a toll on you. And since we had to pretty much live through the gritty circumstances on the sets as well,it translated very well on the screen, he explains. The director Kunal Deshmukh defends the couple by adding that Hashmi looks his part as an artist while Khan adds the chic that her career-oriented character demands. We hope hes right.

3 Idiots
Even though Aamir Khan has been in the industry for nearly two decades and Kareena Kapoor isnt a newbie either,the two come together on screen for the first time; Rajkumar Hirani has hit a jackpot by bringing these two stars together. You have a sizzling Kapoor who is as much in news for her relationship with hottie Saif Ali Khan,paired opposite one of the most talented actors in the industry. What are the chances that Hirani will have gone wrong? Aamir and I tried to work together for a long time. What better than to have Raju Hirani direct us. Aamir is one of my favourite actors. I hope that shows in the film, says Kapoor. Now all else is okay,we just hope Khan doesnt look too old for Bebo. That would be a pity.
