Former national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Varanasi MP Murli Manohar Joshi on Saturday said the section 370 fuels separatism in Kashmir and the Centre is doing nothing to stop it.
Joshi was the chief guest of the partys Kashmir Bachao Diwas in the state capital and addressed the media at the party headquarters.
Expressing concern over the situation in Kashmir,Joshi said the UPA government at the Centre has no policies or solutions to tackle Kashmir problem. The Central government is working under pressure from America and this is why the situation is failing to improve in the Hill state, said Joshi. Senior BJP leader said the Centre should either hold talks with the separatists or take stern action against their movement.
Joshi also called J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inexperienced in handling the situation. Joshi said J& K was an integral part of India and no one can take it away. He further said the BJP will debate over the issue in the Parliament.
Commenting on the ongoing farmers agitation in Aligarh,he said the state government is following the Union government in favouring industrialists by giving them agriculture land for their mega projects.
He said the state government may be talking about Dalit welfare but its decision to favour industrialists affects Dalits and small farmers the most.
