Ram temple opening: VHP meeting begins in Ayodhya
Sources said the meeting of VHP functionaries was aimed at firming up the outline of the programmes.

A MEETING of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) central office-bearers began in Ayodhya on Saturday to discuss the preparations for the programmes that the organisation is set to organise across the country in January next year on the occasion of “pran pratishtha” (consecration ceremony of the deity) of the idol of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of the now under construction Ram temple.
Sources said the meeting of VHP functionaries was aimed at firming up the outline of the programmes.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and senior functionary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi also attended the meeting and Joshi would remain present in the meeting on Sunday and Monday as well, the sources said.
A senior RSS functionary said that from the RSS side, Joshi would oversee the progress of the construction work of the Ram temple and the programmes to be organised on the installation ceremony.
Sources said that Champat Rai, international vice president of the VHP and general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, was also present during the meeting on Saturday.
