With the onset of winter, the Ram Janma Bhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has announced revised timings for darshan and aarti at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, beginning Thursday, October 23. Officials said that the timings have been shifted by half an hour.
“Starting today, devotees will be able to see Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple at 7 am. The darshan and worship will continue until 9 pm. The timings for Ram Lalla’s aarti have also changed. The temple will remain closed for an hour in the afternoon for aarti and offerings,” Anil Mishra, a trustee, said.
As per the revised timings, the first aarti of the day, Mangla Aarti, which used to start at 4 am, will now take place at 4.30 am. Similarly, Shringar Aarti will be held at 6.30 am. Darshan for devotees, which used to begin at 6.30 am, will now start at 7 am. Darshan will be suspended for an hour after the Bhog Aarti, which will take place at 12 pm, and will resume at 1 pm, continuing till 9 pm. The temple doors will close after the Shayan Aarti of Ram Lalla at 9.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the Trust is also preparing for three days of grand events and rituals surrounding the flag hoisting ceremony on November 25, which would mark the end of the construction at the Ram Temple. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to attend the celebrations.
Sources said that finishing touches, including cleaning and developing a green belt, are being carried out.
Two consecration ceremonies have been conducted at the temple in the past—one for the Ram Lalla idol on the ground floor of the temple, and the other for the Ram Darbar, which includes idols of Ram, Sita, Ram’s brothers, and Hanuman on the first floor.
