Urban Development Minister Azam Khan on Monday demanded a thorough probe into the corruption allegations against former municipal commissioner of Ghaziabad Jitendra Kumar Singh.

Urban Development Minister Azam Khan on Monday demanded a thorough probe into the corruption allegations against former municipal commissioner of Ghaziabad Jitendra Kumar Singh. In a letter to Chief Secretary Javed Usmani,Khan asked him to get an enquiry conducted by Meerut commissioner into the allegations and submit the report in a week’s time,a spokesperson said.

Khan has stated that if any of the allegations are proved correct,National Security Act (NSA) should be imposed against Singh,the spokesperson said. Khan has said Singh,during his 10-month tenure as the municipal commissioner,reportedly leased out invaluable land of parks to his relatives at throwaway prices.
