Mulayam kin commits suicide

Pooran Singh Yadav (35) SP leader and a relative of party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav,allegedly committed suicide — shooting himself with a licenced revolver — at his home in Etawah’s Friends Colony on Monday. No suicide note has been found and it is not clear why he took the extreme step,the police said. Early on Monday,he had gone to Sefai on work. He returned around 10 am and asked his domestic help Mahesh to bring him a cup of tea. “According to Mahesh,he then went to the bathroom and within minutes,they heard the gunshot,” said a police officer. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. “The bullet had gone through his right temple,” said Circle Officer,Etawah,and Mata Prasad.

His funeral in Sefai was attended by SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav,his brother Ram Gopal Yadav and other leaders of the party.
