Activists of the Bajrang Dal led by Bhatnagar, outfit’s Moradabad unit convener, staged a demonstration at Mughalpura police station on Monday evening demanding the arrest of the café owner.

“Sale of beef burgers has hurt our religious sentiments. It is yet another attempt by a minority community member to provoke us. We will not tolerate such practice aimed at vitiating the communal amity of the town,” said Bhatnagar.

As per section 5A of the UP Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, “no person shall sell or transport or offer for sale or transport or cause to be sold or transport beef”.
