Minister’s car crushes Dalit boy in Rae Bareli

A Dalit boy was killed and two others were critically injured when the car of Minister of Institutional Finance Nand Gopal Nandi hit them in Jagatpur,Rae Bareli,on Wednesday. The driver has been arrested.

Rae Bareli ASP Salig Ram said the incident took place at Jigna village,when the minister was on his way to Allahabad. His Ambassador hit the bicycle of Saurabh (15) and then rammed a shop selling building material. The boy,who was on his way to school,died on the spot. Two others,Anuj and Prem Shanker,who were standing at the shop,sustained injuries.

The minister later left in his escort vehicle. The locals blocked the highway,demanding compensation to the victim’s family. The blockade was removed following assurance by the senior officials.
