Soon Hazratganj market will be renovated on the lines of Delhis Connaught Place. This was decided on Saturday following a meeting of the district officials,led by Divisional Commissioner Prashant Trivedi.
The recommendations of the Dr Naseer Munji report on the Hazratganj Renovation Plan were discussed in the meeting. Trivedi also met the officials of the Lucknow Development Association and the members of the Hazratganj Traders Association.
Talking about the plan,the divisional commissioner said the market will be developed with the infrastructure fund.
According to him,the footpaths will be renovated and all the wires electricity,telecommunications will be made underground. Under the Building Signage Plan,while all the buildings will be given a uniform colour,a divider is also proposed from Hindi Sansthan to the Hazratganj crossing.
Vice-Chairman of the Lucknow Development Association Mukesh Meshram said the multi-level parking,which is underconstruction in Hazratganj,is expected to be completed by September.
While the two underground levels of this parking lot will be dedicated for two- wheeler,the centre will have parking for buses and top floors will see the parking of four-wheelers.
This parking lot will be having a capacity of over 900 vehicles,solving the parking and traffic problem of the area to a large extent.
