Lala Amarnath cricket soon

The date for the final of the U-16 Lala Amarnath Cricket Tournament will be announced soon. Secretary,Cricket Association Lucknow (CAL) KM Khan informed that in the meeting of the CAL organised on Sunday,it was decided that the date for the final will be announced as soon as the weather becomes clear. He also informed that Lucknow Cricket Academy (LCA) has been ‘suspended’ till December 31,2010 for disrupting the Lala Amarnath Cricket final which was being played on Friday at KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium between Unity Cricket Academy and the LDACC. “An LCA official reached the Stadium along with boys during the final and toppled the scorers’ table saying that his team’s protest should be first addressed,” he explained.

Honorary secretary (LCA) Mohsin Raza said that he would “hold an enquiry into the entire episode and the Academy would apologise if any its members are found responsible in any way.” “We would appeal against this decision. A meeting in this regard will be organised on Tuesday,” Raza disclosed.
