Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that if Ram Janmabhoomi can be reclaimed after 500 years, then Sindh province, now in Pakistan, can also be taken back.
Speaking at the two-day National Sindhi Convention in Lucknow, the CM said, “Lucknow se Ayodhya ki doori bahut nahi hai. Dedh se do ghanta mein aap Ayodhya pahunch sakte hain. 500 varshon ke bad Bhagwan Ram ke bhavya mandir ka nirman ho raha hai… Kashi Vishwanath Dham Ayodhya se dhai ghante ki doori pe hai. 6 varsh pehle wo kya tha? Vapsi mein Vindhyavasini Dham hote hue, Prayagraj hote hue aap apni aage ki yatra karein toh aapko lagega ki virasat ke prati bhav hamare mann mein bhi hona chahiye. Aur agar Ram Janmabhoomi 500 varshon ke baad vapas li jaa sakti hai, koi kaaran nahi ki hum Sindh vaapas na le lein (Ayodhya is not very far from Lucknow. A grand temple of Lord Ram is being constructed in Ayodhya after 500 years… The Kashi Vishwanath Dham is just two-and-a-half hours from there. What was it six years ago? Today, under the guidance of Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi, the temple is lit up. If you travel to Vindhyavasini Dham and then Prayagraj, then you will feel you should also have feelings for our heritage. If Ram Janmabhoomi can be taken back after 500 years, there is no reason why we can’t take back Sindh)”.
More than 225 delegates from 10 countries and 10 states of India participated in the event, said officials.

The CM said there is a need for the Sindhi community to tell the present generation about their history.

“The Partition of 1947 was tragic. It could have been avoided and stopped. Because of one person’s stubbornness, the country had to witness the tragedy of Partition due to which lakhs of people were killed. A large chunk of India’s land became Pakistan,” he said.
“The Sindhi community has become a part of India. It was never outside India because it is part of Akhand Bharat. The community became a victim of the unfortunate Partition. But it didn’t create any noise and rose to continue with its journey despite several setbacks,” the Chief Minister said.
He said that the community suffered the most pain as they had to leave their motherland behind. “Even today, we have to bear the brunt of the tragedy of Partition in the form of terrorism,” he said. The CM said that no civilized society can ever recognize terrorism, extremism, or any kind of anarchy. “If we have to move forward on the path of humanity’s welfare, the evil tendencies will have to be eliminated,” he said.
