The Faruqui verdict came on a plea challenging constitutional validity of Acquisition of Certain Area at Ayodhya Act-1993, under which 67.703 acres were acquired in Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid complex.
All the accused in Babri Masjid demolition case were granted bail by the Special Central Bureau of Investigation (SBI) Court in Lucknow on Tuesday. However, the court rejected the discharge petition and said charges would be framed against them.

The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) members had earlier sat on a protest outside the Vice Chancellor's office, saying that programs which divide the students on the basis of their religion, should not be allowed in the university.

Swamy said that there is a seminar of professors on a topic which is very important and expresed wonder at how it could be protested against. He further added that for anything objectionable, there were lawn in place to check them.
New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) members staged a protest outside the Vice Chancellor's office here on Thursday against the Delhi University's decision to allow a seminar on Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The two-day seminar titled "Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Temple: Emerging Scenario" is scheduled to begin on January 9 at the Delhi University's Arts Faculty.
