Five persons died in separate train accidents reported from the state on Sunday.
In an accident reported from the Kheero police area in Rae Bareli,Kallu (50),Chhabbu (65) and Mohd Akhtar (37) all residents of Mustkeemganj were on their way to purchase goods for their shops.
At an unmanned crossing near Raghuraj Singh railway station,a speeding train hit the tractor. While Kallu and Chhabbu died on the spot,Akhtar succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, said Inspector (Kheero) Ashok Tiwari.
Another incident was reported from Aligarhs Civil Lines police area where two students were hit by the Shatabdi Express when they tried to jump a closed railway crossing.
Kapil (18) and Arshad (20) both students of Class XI were on a motorcycle (UP 81 AD 2307) when the accident took place.
On their way,they tried to jump the crossing and were stranded before the Shatabdi Express as the gear
of their bike got jammed, said Inspector (Civil Lines) Somveer Singh.
