Ex-MLC booked

Following a complaint by a businessman,a case of attempt to murder was registered against former MLC Arun Shankar Shukla alias Anna Maharaj and his three nephews in Lucknow on Tuesday. Nishant Pandey had accused them of forcibly detaining and beating him up. “In his complaint,Nishant said he had an argument with Anna’s nephews on June 6 at Fun Cinemas over parking of his vehicle. The matter was settled following intervention of some locals,” said Vinay Gautam,in-charge of Hasanganj police station. According to Pandey,when he was near the IT crossing on Tuesday morning,Anna and his nephews came in a Scorpio and dragged him inside. He was allegedly beaten and later dropped at the Daliganj crossing.
