The Communist Party of India (Marxist) Tuesday claimed that the Uttar Pradesh government has not been able to provide relief measures to the riots-affected people in Muzaffarnagar till now. CPM leader Subhashini Ali,who recently visited the riot-affected areas with a party delegation led by Lok Sabha member SK Saidul Haque, said displaced people are living in madrasas, schools and houses, which have been turned into camps while the government should have set up its own relief camps. Ali said the CPM team also did not find any doctors or medicines in the camps. She said the party delegation found that the administration was trying to send ration to displaced people but it had not reached to each of them. The CPM also demanded that the state arrest political leaders and influential people who allegedly incited the people for violence. The influential people,MLAs and political leaders who gave provocative speeches have been left untouched. Ali alleged that the state has not started any measures to rebuild communal harmony.
