The girl's mother in her complaint to police alleged that the incident came to light when she caught her husband raping their daughter. He had also threatened the girl with dire consequences if she shared her ordeal with anyone
Muzaffarnagar riots: This comes after the BJP-led state government sought the district administration’s opinion on a proposal to withdraw 133 cases related to the 2013 riots and the administration reportedly opposed such a move.
Of the 133 cases, 89 are currently pending in court. The remaining have either resulted in acquittals or closure reports. The pending cases include those related to hate speech, murder, attempt to murder, arson, dacoity.
The blast, which took place on Monday in the town's Sarvat Road area, also killed Tazim and Shazad who were handling the scrap. Three more people who happened to be going past the shop at the time of the explosion were injured and taken to the hospital.
New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): In a major setback to the Samajwadi Party ahead of the assembly polls scheduled next year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday emerged victorious in the Muzaffarnagar bypolls. BJP's Kapil Deo Agrawal won the Muzaffarnagar seat by 6,000 votes while Congress' Mavia Ali won Deoband seat by 3,400 votes.

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Jan 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sanjeev Balyan on Thursday met the gang rape victim's family in Muzaffarnagar. He assured that such incidents would not happen in the future. He added that the matter would be dealt seriously. He further stated that he has asked the police officials to catch the absconding accused in next three days and strict actions will be taken against the accused.
Muzaffarnagar, Jan 14 (ANI): Mother of three committed suicide in Chapra village of Muzaffarnagar after her perpetrators made a clip of her being raped and circulated it in public. Police has arrested the culprit. A case has been lodged against the convict but the police is yet to take action.
Uttar Pradesh, Jan 13 (ANI): Chowdhary Khalil has been elected as the head of Tisang village in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. Khalil, who garnered 1427 votes, defeated Raj Dhulari by 153 votes. The people from both Hindu and Muslim community gathered to celebrate his victory. The delight on the faces of the people here displayed the sense of togetherness, unity and harmony among the people.
