Cop,three others booked for forcing minor to marry

Etah: A station house officer and three others have been booked in connection with the alleged forcible marriage of a minor girl inside a police station here,police said on Wednesday. Shauqat Ali Khan,the SHO of Miraichi police station,along with Reziya Begum,Salma and Gulzar were booked for the minor’s alleged forcible marriage on Sunday,Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Mohan Sharma said.

Husband of village head shot dead

Mau: A 55-year-old man,husband of a village head,was shot dead allegedly by unidentified persons in Haldhaerpur area following which the locals blocked a highway and pelted stones on police vehicle,police said.
