Cong worker murder: BSP MLA gets clean chit from cops

The Sultanpur police have given a clean chit to Bahujan Samaj Party Gauriganj MLA Chandra Prakash Mishra in a case relating to the murder of Congress worker,Rajjan Shukla.

The Sultanpur police have given a clean chit to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)’s Gauriganj MLA Chandra Prakash Mishra in a case relating to the murder of Congress worker,Rajjan Shukla.

Sultanpur Superintendent of Police Satyendra Vir Singh said: “The MLA’s name has been removed from the case following the interrogation of Alok Dubey alias Munna,who was arrested on May 5.”

During interrogation,Dubey told police that he had called up the MLA’s nephew,Satish,on his mobile phone soon after he saw Shukla headed towards Satish’s house on a motorcycle on May 3.

Satish and three others laid a trap in the village and unidentified youths accompanying them killed Shukla later,the accused allegedly told police. Dubey has revealed the MLA was unaware about the murder plan,said the SP.

Congress worker Rajjan Shukla was shot dead on May 3 in Munshiganj area and his father,Ram Sunder Shukla,had named the MLA,his nephew Satish,a history-sheeter Shriram Giri and Alok Dubey alias Munna in the FIR.
