Congress candidate for Mankipur seat in Chitrakoot,Sampat Pal,was on Monday arrested for rioting,violence,unlawful detention and disrupting government process in Chitrakoot district. Sampat is founder head of the Gulabi Gang,an organisation that works for cause of women facing domestic and social violence in Bundelkhand region. She was arrested with eight members of her organisation in Mau area. The arrested persons will be produced in the court on Tuesday,said,SP,Chitrakoot,Tahsildar Singh.
