Coaches’ trials from today

The registration of the aspirants will done between 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm daily and the physical test for the relevant sport will start from 6.00 am. The skill test will be organised the same day.

Sale of forms begins

The sale of forms for admission to sports colleges and sports hostels across the state,began on Wednesday. This is for the first time when selections for admission to both the sports hostels and sports colleges will be done through common trials.

The forms are available at different regional and district sports offices across the state and the last date for the submission of the forms is May 30. In Lucknow,on the first day,about 80 forms were sold at Regional Sports Office located at KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium while about 300 forms were sold at GGS Sports College.

Talking to The Indian Express,Deepak Sharm,senior coach at Guru Govind Singh Sports College,Lucknow said,“It was really nice to see the photos of former Sports College trainees RP Singh and Suresh Raina on the front cover of the form. It is an honour for Sports College.”

The district level trials will be organised on June 1 and 2,the regional level trials will be organised on June 3 and 4 while the state level trials will be organised at Lucknow from June 6 to 8. Thereafter,the central coaching camps will be organised at Lucknow from June 11 to 25.

In order to provide a uniformity with the sports college trials,the trials this year will be organised in the under-12 and the under-15 age category. Players may contact their respective sports offices for details.
