Metrosexual man
John Abraham seems to be making a statement these days. After sporting yellow knickers on-screen in Dostana, the hunk is now the brand ambassador for Garnier’s beauty products for men. While we’re hoping this will inspire many a men to groom themselves,we can’t understand why a sensible actor like John would promote a fairness cream.

Back to school
At a time when the industry is yearning for something new,the audio release event for Mukta Arts’ Paying Guest came as a relief on Monday. Organised at producer Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods, the event had the entire cast —Javed Jaferi,Vatsal Seth,Shreyas Talpade,Ashish Choudhary,Celina Jaitley,Sayali Bhagat and Raima Sen — dressed as school-going kids for a dance they put together on one of the tracks from the movie. Some looked cute while some, like Shreyas and Sayali, looked like overgrown five-year-olds.

Heart of gold
Romit Raj,the actor of Zee TV’s Maayka and Betiyaan, showed the serious side to his personality when he donated Rs 25,000 towards the Navjyoti Foundation of former IPS officer and social activist Kiran Bedi. Romit has also sponsored a girl child from the Muskaan Foundation,a social NGO working for underprivileged girls of Mumbai. Speaking to Press on Friday afternoon through a video conference, the chocolate-faced TV star said,“I have always been impressed with the way actor Rajnikant has contributed to the uplift of the downtrodden. When Zee approached me to issue an appeal on the channel as part of the ‘Save Laali campaign’ for people to contribute towards safeguarding the rights of the girl child,I took up the opportunity to not just support the campaign and launch a public appeal but also contribute personally to the campaign.”
