We have alliance with Mamata since Singur: Maoist leader

Vikram,the area commander of the Maoists’ Purulia squad,on Tuesday released a press statement in Purulia in which he stated that the Maoists have a strong bond with the Trinamool since the beginning of the Singur movement.

Tuesday released a press statement in Purulia in which he stated that the Maoists have a strong bond with the Trinamool since the beginning of the Singur movement.

He has stated that they have an alliance with Mamata Banerjee and they are constantly in touch with her and other TMC leaders. However,he,further said there was no difference between the TMC and CPM leaders at the ground level including in panchayats and municipalities.

“We have movement-wise alliance with the Trinamool and we worked together to mobilise the masses in Singur,Nandigram and Lalgarh movements and even fought together to resist the joint forces and CPI(M) goons in Lalgarh,” Vikram said in the statement.

However,he further stated in the statement that people will not support Banerjee if she doesn’t oppose Green Hunt or

Operation Garib Hunt (Hunt the poor),or resign from the UPA government and shun the alliance with the Congress.
