Trinamool MLA from Haldia Shiuli Saha has written a letter to party chairperson Mamata Banerjee against party MP Subhendu Adhikari,alleging that he had prepared a list of candidates for the Haldia municipal election unilaterally. I was kept in the dark. My views were not sought while preparing the list of candidates even though I am local MLA. I wrote a letter to our party chief against the manner in which the candidates were selected by Subhendu Adhikari, Saha,Trinamool MP from Tamluk,told The Indian Express. Adhikari refused to comment. I have nothing to say on this, he said. Adhikaris father Sisir Adhikari,who is the Union minister of state for panchayat and rural development,also denied comment. I am not the right person to comment on this, he said. Saha said: I want to remain transparent to the people I represent. I want to make it clear that the persons I had selected have not been fielded in the election. She also alleged that Adhikari fielded some candidates who were not with the Trinamool in those hard days when the party was struggling to get a foothold in the area. I had sent my list of candidates to Didi,Mukul Roy and Subrata Buxi with an appeal to compare it with the one prepared by Adhikari. Now I want a clear instruction from the party. Does the party want me to accept the dictatorship of one man? If so,I will accept it. If the party wants to punish me for opposing Adhikaris move,I will accept it, Saha said. Trinamool general secretary Mukul Roy and state president Subrata Buxi could not be contacted.
