(Express File Photo) One more person has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder of a Trinamool Congress-affiliated panchayat pradhan in the Amdanga area of North 24 Parganas district’s Barasat sub-division, police said.
The accused, identified as Aftab, was nabbed from Domkal in Murshidabad district, they said.
Anwar Hossain Mondal, named as prime accused in the FIR, has already been arrested in the case.
Amdanga panchayat pradhan Rup Chand Mandal died after bombs were thrown at him in Kamdevpur area on November 16. He was taken to a hospital in Barasat after being given treatment at a local hospital but died.

Trinamool supporters had blocked the National Highway-12 in protest against the killing.
The police are investigating whether the accused had political or personal enmity with the Trinamool leader.
