Tension gripped Bhogkunja village in Diamond Harbour area of South 24-Parganas after three houses were set on fire during a clash between two families.

According to a senior police officer,Hasiba Khatun – the five-year-old daughter of Aslapur Alam Khan – was found lying inside a bush in the village on Thursday. Hasiba had been missing since Wednesday.

The officer said that a murder complaint was registered in the police station,but the family members did not name any suspect. However,today before going for the namaz,Hasiba’s relatives started arguing with their neighbour Aamir Khan and his family members and claimed that they had murdered their daughter due to a land dispute.

Soon the argument turned into a violent clash,following which three houses were set on fire by a mob,supporting Hasiba’s family. Six persons of Khan’s family were critically injured in the clash and were taken to the Diamond Harbour hospital,said the police.
