(Representational Image) A private firm linked to Kolkata-based businessman Sujay Krishna Bhadra, who is an accused in the school jobs scam, filed a police complaint Friday alleging that the Enforcement Directorate had downloaded 16 files from a computer without seeking the company’s “permission” during searches at its premises earlier this week, police said.
On Monday, ED officials had searched three premises in Kolkata linked to Bhadra’s firm Leaps and Bounds Private Limited. On Wednesday, the central probe agency issued a statement claiming that it had seized “various incriminating documents and digital evidence”, and added that TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee was the chief executive officer of the company.

According to police, an accountant of the company Chandan Mukherjee filed a complaint at the Kolkata Cyber Crime Police Station on Friday claiming that the probe agency downloaded 16 “Excel files” from a computer during its search at one of the premises linked to the company.
“We have received the complaint.The complainant has alleged that the files did not belong to Leaps and Bounds Pvt Ltd but to some other entity. However, it is not clear at this juncture to whom the files belong,” said a senior Kolkata Police official.
