OC shunted out for ‘derogatory’ remarks against woman officer

The officer in-charge (OC) of the North Port police station has been transferred today to the security control department of the Kolkata Police for allegedly making “derogatory” remarks against a woman officer-in-charge of a police station.

Kishore Sharma,the OC of North Port police station,who was posted as the OC in the North Port police station one and half months ago,was shunted after he reportedly made “derogatory” remarks about a lady police officer,Debashree Chatterjee.

Significantly,Chatterjee is the first woman officer in-charge of the Kolkata Police and was formerly posted at the North Port police station.

Chatterjee,after being conveyed about Sharma’s remarks,submitted a complaint to the Kolkata Police top brass following which Sharma was transferred to the security control department.

While Chatterjee denied submitting any official complaint about Sharma,a police official confirmed she had complained to senior police officials.
