Amid this,a dramatic resignation of five Trinamool workers who announced their decision to quit from the party through posters that were pasted on the walls in the villages.
All the five belong to Andharia gram panchayat in Jhargram. Posters were pasted on the houses in the villages announcing that Bijay Krishna Baul,Narasingha Rath,Seikh Insaan Ali,Babloo Karak and Sheikh Zakir have resigned from trinamool as party ministers could not fulfill their pre-election promises.
We have left the party and we have urged the people to quit the party. All the promises made by Mamata Banerjee have fallen flat. We are not able to face the questions raised by the villagers and that is why we have left the party, said Bijay Krishna Baul.
But Pradyut Ghosh, working president of Trinamool termed it not a big issue. They have done this under the Maoist threat. But they are still with us, he added.
