Man dies in police custody

One Abdul Wahid Khureshi (43) died in police custody on Monday in Chitpore police station.

One Abdul Wahid Khureshi (43) died in police custody on Monday in Chitpore police station.

According to the police,Khureshi had been picked by them on Sunday night after they received a communication from their Madhya Pradesh counterpart.

The MP police said that a complaint had been filed against Khureshi by his wife in the Bastar district as Khureshi did not pay the alimony money of Rs 1.5 lakh to his wife in the last six years.

Police said that Khureshi fell ill in the morning and he was taken to the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. In the hospital,he died of cardiac arrest,said police.
