A couple of days after Left Front chairman Biman Bose thanked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the state governments decision to celebrate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose jointly with Kendriya Netaji Jayanti committee on January 23,he today announced that Front leaders would queue up near the statute of Netaji on Monday for paying tribute to him at 12.15 pm,which is his birth time.
Significantly, through a letter to Bose, the state government has conveyed that from 11.45 am to 1.45 pm the state government will celebrate the birth day of Netaji and has allotted the period from 1.45 pm to 3.30 pm to Left Front. Bose however, said that all the senior leaders of Left Front will queue up near Netajis statue and wait until they are allowed to pay him tribute.
We know that Banerjee will pay tribute to him. But after that,we want to pay tribute to him,as 12.15 is the time when he was born. We do not have a problem even if we are allowed to pay tribute to Netaji after all the 44 cabinet ministers. But we want to pay tribute to Netaji at the said time. If we are not at all allowed,we would come back without making any ruckus. But we will keep standing there until we are sent back, Bose said.
Meanwhile,as the CM paid tribute to Netaji in the state secretariat today January 23 being a state holiday Bose said: We do not understand what calendar the new government follows and why they paid tribute to Netaji two days before his birth anniversary.
