The Calcutta High Court on Thursday directed the Official Liquidator Department that a provisional liquidator would work as special officer of the court to prepare an inventory of the assets of Dunlop.

A division bench of Justice Kalyanjyoti Sengupta and Justice Joymalya Bagchi today refused to stay an order passed by the single bench – to appoint a provisional liquidator with the power of official liquidator to prepare an inventory of Dunlop. The bench ordered the Official Liquidator not to take possession of the company property but hold meetings with officials.

Today advocate Kalyan Banerjee, also a Trinamool Congress MP,moved the appeal of Dunlop and requested the division bench to pass a stay order on the verdict of Justice Sanjib Banerjee. The division bench said it was not possible to stay the order without hearing arguments of both parties.
