“Though the actual cause of fire is yet to be ascertained, prima facie, it seems the blaze started from the waste material dumped at a corner of the open area on the second floor of the Emergency building,” said a fire department official.

The Fire department has started an investigation into the incident.

Last Monday, there was a similar incident of fire at the state-run Sambhunath Pandit Hospital.
