Bomb scare in Alipurduar

An unclaimed bag,found in the Nonai bridge here in Jalpaiguri district Saturday,led to a bomb scare. The incident took place a day after a cop had died while defusing a bomb. A police team immediately rushed to the spot,searched the bag,and found nothing in it. One policeman died and two were injured,while defusing a bomb here on August 29. The police has arrested a Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) activist Gouranga Ray Friday in connection with the blast,sources said. The bomb,the policeman was trying to defuse was planted by KLO,sources said.
