The Bankura police arrested three Maoists from Ranibandh block today. Explosives and gelatin sticks were recovered from their possession. Pranab Kumar,the Superintendent of Police,Bankura,Rakha Hari Tudu,Dinbandhu Das and Biswanath Maji were held from two separate villages under Ranibandh police station. They were gathering explosives and gelatin sticks in Mitham village,which was raided early in the morning following a tip-off. Kumar said Rakha Hari Tudu and Biswanath Das were the officer bearers of the local Jharkhand Party (Aditya Group). Their involvement with Maoists will be cleared after interrogation. The men were produced at the ACJM court at Khatra and were remanded in police custody for seven days. Advocate Samir Das,their counsel,said the police started a suo-motu case against the three. Dinabandhu Das is the local president of the Jharkhand Party (Aditya Group) and he is not involved with Maoists,said Das. Members of the PCAPA,meanwhile,blocked a road between Ranibandh and Jilimily early on Thursday morning.
