(Express Photo) As many as 258 wild animals and birds from Sakkar Baug Zoo in Junagadh have been provided to various other zoos and private facilities in the country in the past two years. Among these, 101 leopards were provided to the Greens Zoological, Rescue and Rehabilitation (GZRR) supported by the Reliance group in Jamnagar.

As per the reply, total 258 wild animals were given to GZRR, Jamnagar, Jaipur Zoological Garden, Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Sanjay Gandhi Zoological Garden, Patna, Sardar Patel Zoological Park, Kevadia, National Zoological Park, Kevadia, National Zoological Park, New Delhi, Pradhyuman Zoological Park, Rajkot, Sayaji Baug Zoo, Vadodara and Vasona Safari Park, Dadranagar Haveli.
Apart from 51 leopards, GZRR was also provided with 38 antelope, 50 spotted deer, seven blackbuck, four barking deer, three chinkara and one four-horned antelope.
