18-year-old ‘gangraped’ in Burdwan

She walked about 10 km to a fair in the village and stayed there till late night when she was approached by three youths who promised to accompany her back to her home.

“According to the complaint,they took her to an abandoned hut,gangraped her and took a video of the act on their mobile phones. While leaving,they took away all her clothes,” said an official of Purbasthali police station under which the village falls.

In the morning,she went out and told her story to a passerby who got clothes from his house and gave her.

Police sources said that a hunt was on to nab the miscreants. They expressed confidence that all the three would be arrested. The girl,meanwhile,has been sent for a medical examination.
