The “Mann Ki Baat” programme began on All India Radio on October 3, 2014 (PTI) On the occasion of the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat”, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat will on Sunday felicitate 18 people who have found mention in the radio programme.
The event is being organised by Prasar Bharati at the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar, where these 18 people drawn from different fields, who have been mentioned by Modi in the programme, will be felicitated in the presence of guests including Padma award winners.
An exhibition showcasing the experiences of the people and their work that have found mention in “Mann Ki Baat” will be organised on the occasion. Audio excerpts from the show will also be played.
The “Mann Ki Baat” programme began on All India Radio on October 3, 2014. It is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month at 11am on AIR and the Doordarshan network. The 30-minute programme will complete 100 episodes on Sunday.
The show is translated into 22 languages, 29 dialects and 11 foreign languages, apart from English.
