Gate results declared,Pune boy ranks 12

GATE 2013 results were declared on Friday in which 6 students from Pune have made it to the top 100. Amol Bhangdiya,who secured rank 12 in computer science is the city’s topper. A total of 12,00,728 candidates registered for GATE 2013 and 9,84,855 candidates appeared,of which 1,36,699 have qualified. Women candidates comprised 39.75 % of the total registrants while Men candidates comprised 60.25 %.

The test was conducted on across the country on January 20 and February 10. The top five states that had qualified candidates as their permanent residence are AP (22,476),UP (22,400),Maharashtra (9,951),Bihar (9,820),and Kerala (8,992).
