Principal Inder Jeet says the course on Small and Medium Enterprises is especially good for people who want to set up their own business after they graduate. “Many students belong to families that have an established business and are looking at ways to make them stronger,” he says.

With the Commonwealth Games set to give the city’s tourism industry a boost, the course on Tourism is also expected to help students interested in the subject. All vocational courses are full-time and are taught over three years.

According to Rohit Chahal,a student of Human Resource Management, the course is beneficial for students aiming for an MBA as it provides a strong grounding in the subject. “Parts of the syllabus are similar to an MBA course so,after doing this course, one can switch to a specialised MBA and get a good placement,” Rohit says.

The college had revamped its curriculum a couple of years ago by introducing inter-disciplinary add-on courses and improving Internet facilities in the institute. “We are trying to make the courses all inclusive and had restructured them in response to the changing world,” the principal says.
