Unidentified body of youth found with face battered

Police recovered the body of a youth from near Kholi Wala Mandir in Wazirabad village on Wednesday morning.

Police recovered the body of a youth from near Kholi Wala Mandir in Wazirabad village on Wednesday morning. Police said the youth had been murdered and his face and head had been battered with a heavy object.

Police suspect that the murderer might have been known to the victim. Police also recovered a liquor bottle lying some metres away from the body.

We suspect that the person or persons drank together and then something might have triggered a fight between them,which might have led to the murder. It appears that the youth was killed first and his face was battered later to destroy evidence, the officer said.

The victim was wearing blue jeans,shirt and black shoes and appeared to be about 22 to 24 years old,police said.
