Wine industry is now seeing an increasing number of celebrities launch wines named after them.

Constantly evolving with new arrivals that boast of novelty, the wine industry is now seeing an increasing number of celebrities launch wines named after them. There’s Anta Banderas by Antonio Banderas and the Francis Ford Coppola Winery and now,the latest addition to the list is actor Drew Barrymore.

A “fan of crisp, fruity white wines”,the Never Been Kissed star has created a wine which, according to Wilson Daniels Winery that’s distributing the wine, reflects her fresh and fun personality. The ‘Barrymore Pinot Grigio’ comes from the north-east corner of Italy, which is known for producing crispy white wines. In a pale straw colour, the Pinot Grigio has hints of fresh apricot and citrus flavours, states the release by Wilson Daniels. Interestingly, the wine’s label has been designed by street artist,Shepard Fairey, known for his famous 2008 red and blue Barack Obama ‘Hope’ poster, and contains the Barrymore family crest. Wine over perfume might be the next big celebrity trend.
