Its the time of year when supermen (and women) have taken a break from saving the world. Instead,they are holidaying in Delhi. The lovable Giddoo,a wild dog and hero of Bansis farm from a popular comic series,will meet children on Sunday at Dilli Haat,where the 2nd Annual Indian Comic Con is underway. Roaming the grounds is also Gujarats crime fighter,Inspector Saurabh Saxena,a character of a title called Black Gold by Fenil Comics,whose team will be present at the Comic Con. Also on Sunday,Manga artist Yukichi Yamamatsu will be present at the launch of Stupid Guy Goes to India,the English translation of his 2002 non-fiction work that gives details about his travels to India. Timpa,the Indian version of Tintin,arrives with his adventures called Legacy of the Gods,and Red-Hooded Gang. And,this is also the time you flaunt your own superpower dress up as any character from comics,gaming or mythology and you could win prizes ranging from a bicycle to a two night-three day visit to Disneyland,Hong Kong,among others. On Friday,the Comic Con also saluted celebrated cartoonist RK Laxman with a lifetime achievement award.
